Our Film Club has proved very popular with a regular attendance of fifteen to twenty people. The group is open to anyone who is a member of our U3A (or associate member).
The club runs on the basis that no one knows what film will be shown in advance of the screening date, with films being chosen from a wide range of genres, supplemented by those chosen (and supplied) by members.
So far we have watched films dating from the 1930's to recently released films. We have watched classics such as Anna Karenina (Greta Garbo), Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (Hepburn, Tracy and Poitier), To Kill A Mockingbird (Gregory Peck) and recent classics such as Three Billboards Outside Missouri.
We have also enjoyed recent releases like Wicked Little Letters, Penguin Lessons and A Complete Unknown!
We are a friendly group who have enjoyed all the films we have shared although we all have our favourites too! Whatever the film it always resulted in a lot of enjoyment and conversation!
